28th Annual Dolly's Homecoming Parade

During the Dolly Homecoming Parade, Ms. Parton will be sitting atop her float leading the parade through town. More than 50,000 visitors will line the Parkway to experience this annual event. This year spectators can expect to see even a "9 to 5" float based off Dolly's movie! Plus there's even planned sightings of a submarine and NASCAR racecar.

Bloomin’ Barbeque & Bluegrass takes place each year during Smoky Mountain Springfest in historic downtown Sevierville, Tennessee. Our Barbeque Cook-Off is an official barbeque championship of the state of Tennessee and is coordinated by the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce.

ChristyFest™ is an annual festival held in Townsend, Tennessee to celebrate Christy the novel by Catherine Marshall, as well as the TV series and movies. Each year cast members, producers, writers, directors and crew from both productions come to ChristyFest™ to share memories, mingle with fans and enjoy the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains where the TV Series was filmed in Townsend, TN. The Festival explores related material such as mountain crafts, herbal medicines, music, history and early mountain culture. With the price of park admission you get 300 free concerts by some of the greatest bluegrass acts in the country and great food to go along with it. Performers include Grammy award-winner Ricky Skaggs, Kentucky Thunder, Riders in the Sky, Rhonda Vincent and much more!
When you’re ready for some southern dishes head over to the Barbeque Headquarters at Market Square. There you can try some Tennessee pulled pork, delicious ribs, and succulent chicken. If you want to try something new, the Backstage Restaurant will have a hot new menu for the Dollywood Barbeque and Bluegrass Festival that includes all new barbeque dishes!

Performers at the 2012 Dollywood National Southern Gospel and Harvest Celebration include Jeff and Sherri Easter, Nelons, Karen Peck and New River, Greater Vision and the Inspirations.

Ripley’s Haunted Adventure is celebrating its 15th annual Fright Nights show this year. Ripley’s year-round haunted house will be bringing a little bit of New Orleans flair to their Gatlinburg location for thirteen nights. “We’ll have zombies, voodoo queens, bayou creatures, and Louisiana swamp men. I wanted to bring that swampy, mysterious, Louisiana feel to Gatlinburg, Tennessee this October!”
There is no extra charge for the special Fright Nights shows which run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October as well as Halloween night. Shows are kicked off nightly at 6:13pm with a character parade.

Visit Santa’s Workshop where larger-than-life toy soldiers, wagons, a dollhouse, sailboats and other classic toys will astound you! Santa is also the centerpiece and star of the Parade of Lights that will come prancing throughout the park.
